Diary With Photos: Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos

If you want to see the complete review of the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal hotel, you can find it on my channel Youtube.

We arrived in Los Cabos the day before my 24th birthday, very excited because we had wanted to visit the Waldorf Astoria hotel for a while, so we used this date as an excuse to go. I was a little undecided at first about where I wanted to go, among my options were Valle de Guadalupe, a beach on the Mexican Caribbean side or Los Cabos. In the end we decided on the place with the best weather and booked at the last minute to have the perfect days. The desert has always been one of my favorite landscapes so I was looking forward to happiness during the flight and when we finally landed I knew we had made the best decision.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos
View of the Pacific Sea from our Deluxe Room

Upon arriving at our room, I noticed the incredible view we had of the sea. The truth is that I didn't imagine how impressive it would be to see it in person and this was my favorite part because there was also a plunge pool warm where I spent most of the time being in the room. When you wake up to have a coffee and before going to sleep to relax.

The tunnel that connects the hotel Waldorf Astoria Pedregal with the Marina, it is something that impressed me a lot, when you arrive you have this spectacular view. You can walk through it since the distance is less than 6 minutes. The location of this hotel is very central so everything is close by if you want to go out and explore a bit of Los Cabos.

Every corner of the Waldorf Astoria It's photogenic. Surrounded by cacti, maguey trees, the Pedregal mountain and the imposing Pacific Ocean. This was my birthday and I was very happy. I really wanted to visit my favorite restaurant in downtown Los Cabos and that was our plan for the day. We went out for a short walk and ended up ordering an Uber because it was so hot.

When we arrive at South my favorite restaurant in Los Cabos, we ordered one of the dishes that fascinates me the most, which is burrata. Every time I go it is always perfect just as I remembered. Then we ordered the Baja style fish taquitos with tempura that are a simple delight and we finished with some juicy boneless ones, covered in buffalo sauce with an exquisite dressing. We accompanied our meal with chilled rosé wine. What I love most about Sur is the location facing the sea and the view of the Los Cabos arch, as well as, as I already mentioned, the delicious food.

Don Manuel's Waldorf Astoria Pedregal

After a walk through Los Cabos, nothing better than an Aperol Spritz and a delicious guacamole at the beautiful Don Manuel bar (main restaurant) to cool off from the desert heat. It was 33 degrees with a wind chill of 37. This bar is located on the side of the infinity pool adults only.

This was the night of my birthday and we went to eat at the restaurant “El Farallón” on the side of the cliff. The food was very delicious, everything was fresh. At the end of our dinner they brought us some churros, which if I'm honest, are the most exquisite churros I've ever eaten. It is advisable to make a reservation in advance as the restaurant is quite popular with guests from other hotels as well.

The Farallon Waldorf Astoria Pedregal

This is the “El Farallón” restaurant during the day. It is only open for dinner and you can enjoy a beautiful sunset from the restaurant. In addition to the restaurant, up there is a “Champagne Bar” with more than 20 different labels. We opted for a delicious champagne rose´ while we waited for our table to be ready.

This incredible view is from our room on the top floor. From there it was very relaxing to watch the sea and the boats passing by at sunset. There were also binoculars in our room, so if you go during whale season you might be lucky to see one.

This is the infinity pool only for adults. It was quite pleasant, the temperature was perfect and there were hardly many people. There was also a pool bar so it was easy to grab refreshing drinks. At least during our stay, something that we loved was that the hotel was quiet, normally in the pools of some hotels in tourist places there seems to be a party. Honestly, I prefer to listen to the ocean waves and relax. We were there at the beginning of the week.

This is the restaurant Don Manuel's At night, it is in front of the infinity pool only for adults. There is always live music and a good atmosphere. There is a nice terrace, but it also has tables inside. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service is excellent.

The infinity pool for adults only, during the mornings at breakfast time it has this glow very pretty gold. In the middle is the pool bar and in the background you can see the Pedregal mountain.

Our experience at the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal hotel was incredible, we really enjoyed it and we can't wait to return. The other hotel we visited on our vacation was the Montage Los Cabos which is a more modern hotel if we compare it with the classic Waldorf Astoria Pedregal. I'll tell you a little more about the next hotel.
