Italian Restaurants You Can't Miss in CDMX

Mexico City is known for its good restaurants and spectacular Mexican cuisine, but if one of these days you fancy a good pasta with a great wine, here I bring you a list of the restaurants that you cannot miss visiting in the city.

Suppli

Located in the Juárez neighborhood, there is a little Italian corner called Suppli, named after the crunchy, mozzarella-filled risotto croquettes that bear that name. It is one of my favorite dishes, along with the caccio e pepe pasta, which I order every time I visit the restaurant.

I once visited the restaurant on a hot afternoon and found a spectacular Mexican rosé wine, so they have a good wine list, both red and other styles.

It is a warm, cozy and very pleasant atmosphere. I recommend making a reservation before going since it is a small restaurant.

Madonna

A must stop if you are looking to eat a GREAT pizza. Madonna's pizzas are made with sourdough and the restaurant is located in Roma Norte near Rio de Janeiro Park. You can also find other delicious starters on the menu and my recommendation for flavors is Margherita and Diavola.

Darosa

Located in Juarez, Darosa offers Italian dishes with a balance between classic and contemporary, including artisanal pastas and seafood/meat options. It is a casual, cozy and authentic restaurant to enjoy a good pasta with a delicious glass of wine. As a dessert recommendation, the tiramisu never fails.

Anónimo

Anonymous has been one of my favorite restaurants for a long time, I like it so much that I have celebrated 2 birthdays there. What I like is that I can't find anywhere else what I find here. I like the mix of Italian dishes with contemporary touches. My favorites are the lemon pasta with zucchini, the white pizza and the fried chicken.

Of course you can find pastas, pizzas and an extensive wine menu and many natural wines.

It is located on a corner so it is ideal to enjoy a Spritz while watching people go by and enjoying your food.

Cipriani

Cipriani, there are Italian restaurants around the world but what makes this one special is the spectacular view of Chapultepec Castle since it is located in one of the tallest skyscrapers in Mexico City.

Start with a classic bellini accompanied by fresh burata and prosciutto. You can also find classic pastas, with traditional Italian ingredients, select meats and seafood. Cipriani is an excellent choice to enjoy Italian food in a sophisticated atmosphere.
