I live in Roma Norte, many times I like to go out alone to walk or explore the city and when I do I like to have a plan of where to go for food later. I made a list of my favorite places to eat and enjoy a plan that you will love.
If you have any suggestions for restaurants or places I should visit, I would appreciate your comment below.
Lardo
Restaurant by chef Elena Reygadas. Lardo It is one of my favorite places in Mexico City, there is always a good atmosphere, delicious food and something that makes it special is the bar from where you can see the chefs preparing your food.
Make sure you sit on the right side of the bar to have a better view into the kitchen and if you see something they are preparing that catches your attention, you can ask the chef and they will be happy to tell you.
You can make friends at the bar or enjoy the friendly atmosphere. I recommend making a reservation before you go and you can do it quickly and easily from Opentable.
Samos
Samos It is located on the 38th floor of the Ritz Carlton Mexico, so it guarantees spectacular panoramic views of the city. The restaurant's food is very delicious and it also has a very cool bar.
Between the restaurant and the bar there is a large bar where you can drink a cocktail and enjoy the impressive view. If you visit CDMX alone, you can ask the help of a waiter to take a photo with the unique background of the city.
The entrance is open to the public, you do not have to stay at the hotel to access the restaurants.
Martinez
recently opened Martinez, the restaurant of chef Lucho Martínez de Em. I want to tell you that there was no dish that I did not enjoy until the last bite. The restaurant has a bar where you can enjoy your food while watching the magic in the kitchen. From there you can see how they cook with wood and everything that happens before your dish reaches you.
You can't miss the fish, steak and fries and the delicious chocolate cake.
I think Lucho is a very talented and innovative chef and I wrote an article about your restaurant Em that you can't stay without reading.
Lalo!
Restaurant of chef Eduardo García Guzmán, chef of Maximum Bistrot my favorite restaurant in Mexico, but if you are looking for delicious food and a casual restaurant Lalo! It is the perfect option.
It is popular among Mexicans and foreign tourists so it is interesting to interact with various cultures. It has a communal table that is ideal if you go alone since you can easily make friends and everything you order will be a success because everything is delicious.
It is open for breakfast and lunch, they have daily specials and it is a restaurant that you cannot miss on your visit to CDMX.
One of my favorites for breakfast is the French Toast, it is the delicious French bread I have ever eaten and in the afternoons the Caesar salad, the house burger and Fish & Chips are my favorites.
Butchers & Sons Roma
Butchers & Sons It is located on one of my favorite streets in Roma Norte, between Colima and Orizaba, I recommend sitting outside as you can enjoy watching people pass by. You can see the Rosetta foodies, the cool people visiting the vintage or artisan shops around you, and lots of dogs because Rio de Janeiro Park is one block away, all while you enjoy your delicious burger.
My favorite burger is the Hendrix but lately I have become a fan of the wagyu. Something I also love is that they have a new burger every month, so far my favorite burger of the month has been Enrique Olvera's.
They have vegetarian options that are just as delicious.
Marigold
Marigold is located in the Chapultepec neighborhood, very close to Roma/Condesa. It is the sister restaurant of Masala and Corn which is another of my favorite restaurants in CDMX.
Marigold is open for breakfast and lunch, it has communal tables for 6 people so it is very easy to interact with other diners, the staff is very friendly which makes for a very pleasant atmosphere and the food is delicious, the portions are perfect to try various dishes.
The times I have gone we have asked the people next to us for recommendations, so it is an ideal place to go to eat alone in the beautiful city.
Anónimo
We recently discovered Anónimo and of the 3 times I have visited, the food has fascinated me. This restaurant has a large bar where you can sit comfortably and whatever time you decide to visit, you will find a great atmosphere so it is ideal to visit alone. Anónimo is located on a corner of La Condesa so you have a good view of what's going on outside. Anonymous is open every day and you can book on Opentable.
The staff is very nice and everyone is friendly.
Tell me what you thought of the list and if you prefer to go out alone or with friends. The truth is that I enjoy both as long as I have good food.
Do you want to know what they are my favorite dishes from restaurants in CDMX? Here I leave you this article where I tell you.
