Amber Alcocer If you are looking for authentic and delicious food this is an excellent option that I recommend you try. MeroToro It is located in Hipódromo in CDMX, on Amsterdam Street and the restaurant serves Baja California food, I can say with certainty that it is the best Baja California food I have ever tried. The service is amazing, everyone is very friendly.
They have an extensive list of Mexican wines and many from Baja California.

Here I share some of my favorite dishes that you will undoubtedly love.
First things first, we need an appetizer or a cocktail to whet our appetite and my favorite is Jamaican with mezcal, the Tigre Poblano is also great.

Fish Ceviche Toast
Everything on the menu is delicious, but this toastie has a special place in my heart. It is a fish toast that has soft crab on top, it is a perfect combination of textures and without a doubt the ideal starter.
Something important is the tatemado habanero sauce that goes with all the dishes, it adds a delicious spiciness and I love it.
Pan-Seared Dorado
One time or another I reserved the order for fish because I thought it might be a boring option, but the truth is that it is delicious. The skin is crispy, the meat is soft with incredible seasoning. Accompanied with mashed cauliflower, mushrooms, among other ingredients cooked to perfection.
Pork Jaw
I must admit that the first time I heard the name it didn't sound very attractive to me. Now I say it's my favorite, everyone should try it and the dish itself is a work of art. It is beef jaw accompanied by soft broccoli and a poached egg in the middle. Cut it, mix it and add a little of that tatemada habanero sauce, it is finger-licking good.

Stewed Beef Cannelloni
The most I like of MeroToro is that the dishes are totally different from any other restaurant I have eaten at before.
These beef cannelloni braised with meat juice, pickled onion and parmesan are delicious. When we go to MeroToro we choose to order food at the center, share and thus be able to try more of these delicacies and have room for dessert.
Almond Cupcake, English Cream
My favorite dessert without a doubt. The cake is soft on the inside and when cut in half it absorbs the creme anglaise which makes an extraordinary combination of flavors that although it may seem simple, sometimes less is more. We accompany this little dessert with a double espresso to finish.
