If you are thinking about starting in the world of modeling or have already started your career, here are some recommendations of things that cannot be missing in your backpack or bag, when doing in-person castings.
Portable Charger
Although this is something that I always carry with me, you never know when your cell phone may turn off, especially if you are away from home all day doing castings. It is also useful for calling Uber or checking the map, as well as being able to stay in touch with your booker. I found mine for a very affordable price in a Japanese store that sells very affordable items. cute.
Band aids
Generally I love to walk, but sometimes walking so much can damage my feet. Something that will never be missing in my bag are Band-Aids and even more so when I decide to wear “uncomfortable” boots in order to look glamorous.
Water
Staying hydrated is essential, especially when I don't know what time I will return home or how long the casting will take. Sometimes leaving the casting to buy water or food can make you miss your turn, so I always carry my little bottle of water with me.
Body lotion
In the city where I live the climate is very dry, it is very common for my skin to dry out so I always carry a miniature version of my favorite body cream with me. My favorite is the brand Le Labo.
Lipstick
Whether hot or cold, I always carry a balm with me to keep my lips hydrated. This has worked very well for me and you can find it at any department store or pharmacy.
Fragrance
Always carry perfume with you in your bag. This advice was given to me by a booker friend when I started my modeling career. When working as a model, you work with your image so you want to make a good impression, having a nice scent increases the chances that people will remember you. My favorite perfume is called Black Opium from YSL.
Black swimsuit or underwear.
This is a basic that we all need as models and coming prepared can add points when it comes to being considered for the job. A nice swimsuit cut that flatters your figure can always be useful when attending an in-person casting.
Feather
It may seem simple, but it is very useful. Generally you have to fill out papers with your information and in many cases they do not have enough pens in the castinera house for everyone, so if you want to save time bringing your own is a good option. Preferably with blue ink.
Did I need something? If you have any suggestions for things a model needs in her bag, don't forget to leave me in the comments.
