Amber Alcocer I think we've all at least once seen a Yuyita video. I can say that her makeup tutorials or DIY accompanied me during my adolescence and even today I enjoy watching her video blogs, the calm and peace that she transmits when she tells us something is something that characterizes Mariand Castrejon. I can say that I have been a fan for more than 10 years. Since high school, I remember watching makeup tutorials where Yuya would say if I can do it, you can do it too. One of my favourite videos was perfect in autumn, I wore that makeup and hairstyle to a wedding.
On a trip to Colombia I did African braids, the truth is I wasn't sure if I was going to work a lot or little with my new look, but I wanted to try something new. So when I got back to Mexico, I was very excited to see how I was going to do with my different hair.
A few weeks went by and then I got the news from my agency and my booker Andrea that Yuya had chosen me to work with her and do photos for her brand Bailando Juntos, I was the happiest person. I was a bit nervous because I didn't know if she was going to be there or how it was going to be, as a job I had to contain myself, but as a fan I was very anxious because I couldn't believe it.
Yuya has always been a person I have admired, everything she has achieved on her own and that has always been an inspiration to me. Her career trajectory is impressive and she is one of the biggest YouTubers in Latin America.
The day arrived. We were scheduled to meet at 8 am Roma Norte, we were 3 models and to my good fortune my friend Ashley was going too. There we met the other girl called Enya who became our great friend. It was a 2 hour drive to Cuernavaca in the state of Morelos. We arrived at the location and were greeted with warm hugs, food, water, coffee and all the kindness of Yuya's team and herself. I was surprised to see the same naturalness that is a characteristic in her videos, as well as her kindness and being attentive to everything the team might need.
I also remember the girls in her team were so nice, kind and attentive.
Yuya was there all the time helping me, she painted my nails and we talked about my life in Merida, how I moved to CDMX and how much she and her mother loved my braids. That's when I knew I had made the right decision to get the makeover.
A lot of people ask me if Yuya is as nice as she is in her videos. The answer is yes, Yuya is exactly what we see on our YouTube screen. Chatty, friendly, helpful and natural are some of the virtues that our Yuyita showed us while working with her.
Here are the results of the first time I worked for Bailando Juntos.
The second time. I had the honour of working again for Yuya's brand for the second time, this time it was for the launch of her foundations. I think something we were all really looking forward to on Dancing Together were the foundations. Fortunately I had the opportunity to work again with Yuyita and all her team for the photos of something so important.
On this occasion I also met some very nice people, a stylist whose work I admired on social media but didn't know in person. Their names are Raymundo Montiel y Pau Collado. The MUA that I had already met the first time I worked for Bailando Juntos called Aracely Zarate. At the end of the day she pampered us with masks to hydrate our skin. The hair-stylist who was super nice and made my hair look so pretty is called Norma Diaz. The photographer Luis Mezawho made the photos look amazing. Again everyone was super friendly and attentive the whole time. It's nice when the whole creative team and the client make it a plesant atmosphere and enjoy the day's work. The results were beautiful.
Something very curious that I want to tell you is that nobody noticed Yuya's pregnancy when we were working together. She was there working as normal, moving around, taking pictures, videos up and down and we had no clue that Mar was on the way. A couple of months later when she made it public I think we were all surprised and very excited by the beautiful video she posted about being a mom.
