Amber Alcocer I want to share with you what I think were my smartest purchases this year. Maybe I just needed an excuse to add something else to my wardrobe and that's why I say they were my favourites, the truth is that besides being useful, I really wanted to buy these items.
DYSON SUPERSONIC
Let's start with what I consider to be the best hairdryer in the world. The dryer Dyson Supersonic. From the first moment I used it, I knew I needed it in my life. It's heavy, it's incredibly powerful and the best thing is that it doesn't damage my hair with heat. Something I also loved is that it's not noisy like many other dryers I've tried before. My hair is a bit difficult to manage, sometimes it has good days and sometimes not so good days. With this dryer I can manage to give my curly hair the volume it needs, but it has different nozzles that adapt to the shape of my hair whether it's straight or wavy. Let me tell you that on top of everything else, it dries the hair super fast. Before with a 1875 W dryer it took me 20 to 25 minutes to dry my hair, now it takes me no more than 15 minutes.
Honestly I thought, it's just a hairdryer, what's the difference from others? I've tried a lot of hairdryers and what I love most about this Dyson Supersonic is that it defines my curls and gives them volume. Here's a before and after picture.
PALO|ROSA
Another of my favourite purchases this year were my handbags from a mexican brand called PALO|ROSA. This brand has different models of 100% leather bags. You can find tote bags in different sizes, toiletry bags, hand luggage, backpacks, passport holders, clutches, etc. Multiple colours from basic to fun colours. The best thing is that you can personalise them with your initials, which gives them a unique touch.
TOTE BAG ABC
I consider it multipurpose, it is super spacious, ideal for travel or for work. Mine is a large tote bag and fits everything perfectly. When I travel I use it for my laptop, cameras, a toiletry bag, my agenda, etc. When I work, it is ideal for my photo portfolio, change of clothes, water bottle, creams, notepad, wallet, heels and other things. It is perfect for hand luggage.
BACKPACK ABC
My little backpack is super cute but it fits everything I need. I use it for travelling too, the things I want to have at hand and find quickly like phone, wallet, boarding passes or passport, are some of the things I can put inside. It's small, but very practical. Something very interesting is that you can convert it into a cross-body bag or have it as a backpack, personally I like it as a backpack. You can also personalise it with your initials.
PIMIENTA
For 8 months I lived in a little town on the pacific coast, called San Pancho in the state of Nayarit. There by the sea I came across what has become my favourite Mexican brand of swimwear and other cute things to wear to the beach. Sea and Salt It was a very tropical, colourful and beautifully decorated little shop that I couldn't stop myself from going in every time I crossed that street. That's how I became the number 1 fan of everything they sold. I discovered Pepper the local brand of Lia, the owner of the shop. I honestly plead guilty to always wanting every piece in every colour.
Good news, there are 2 shops Sea and Salt in Nayarit in San Pancho and Punta de Mita. You will always find super cute clothes and accessories and super service.
More bikinis, beachwear, hats and beautiful things can be found from the brand. Pepper. What I also like the most is that the fabric is super comfortable, the range of colours is very nice and you can combine your different tops with different bottoms to make it look cooler. I love the fact that it's slow fashion plus you get a unique piece for yourself.
REBLOOM
This was one of my most important finds this year and it has become my favourite pre-loved shop. The best thing is that you can find everything from designer bags, clothes, accessories and shoes in excellent condition and 100% original at a much lower price than what you would find in the shop. Rebloom It is an online shop and it also has a showroom where you can make an appointment to see the items they have available.
Louis Vuitton Archlight
I was dying to have these shoes in particular. I remember that 5 minutes after the Rebloom page published them as available, I immediately contacted them to say that I wanted them. Louis Vuitton Papillon Bag
This was the first item I bought, a classic of classics. The most flirty Louis Vuitton bag because it's small but fits everything, plus the monogram print goes together so easily and will never go out of style. Without a doubt this purchase was a bargain, the price I found it for was incredible and a good thing was that I saw it a few minutes after they posted it on their Instagram page.
